GTech Engineering Corporation offers building design services for all kinds of residential and commercial buildings.

We offer structural design services for the construction of retail stores, office buildings, warehouses, tilt-up buildings, condos, apartments, custom houses, telecommunication towers, guardrails, metal deck diaphragms, claddings, sign boards, light poles and more.

GTech Engineering Corporation offers Structural feasibility studies, Earthquake Assessments and Seismic Upgrading of old buildings. We provide engineering analysis to determine whether or not the project should be advanced to the engineering design and construction stage. Our experience has shown that providing feasibility studies save overall project costs, time and money, if potential issues are identified during the early stage of the project. GTech Engineering Corporation has experience in conducting feasibility studies and seismic assessments that will optimize the path from concept to construction.

Tenant Improvements, Mezzanines, Catwalks & Platform Designs

Our team provides the structural design for tenant improvements to add mezzanines to the warehouses, lunch rooms, storages, restaurants, retail stores, office buildings, doctor´s offices, financial institutions, shopping centers, and more.

We also, provide structural design of guardrails, and stairs and provides a complete set of drawings for submittal to the city for permit.

Prefab Buildings Structural Engineering

GTech Engineering Corporation offers structural engineering services and overall structural design undertaking for prefabricated steel buildings and modular building construction. Our typical services include review of prefab building drawings & specifications, foundation design, slab design, and field reviews for the steel structure erection. We provide inspection and certification for installation of pre-fab steel buildings and modular home construction. Certification process include review of installed framing members on-site and perform random bolt’s torque testing. We also, provide independent field review reports for other consultants as well and issue structural schedules/ Letters of Assurance as required.

In the past, we have provided engineering services for buildings supplied by various pre-fab suppliers such as Star Building Systems, Pioneer Steel, Olympia Steel Buildings and Ferro Building Systems Ltd.

Our services are available all across the British Columbia and Alberta. Our team consists of experienced engineers, and project managers. We can handle all sorts of prefab designs whether it is for a small office space or a large shop or cannabis (marijuana) grow facility.

Water Containment Structures

We have extensive experience of designing water containment structures such as detention tanks, water treatment plants, roadway culverts, swimming pools and aquarium tanks.

We also provide structural design of temporary supports to support the pipes during excavation.

Equipment Support Structural Engineering

Structural framing and/or foundations are often required for building systems equipment such as manufacturing machines, roof top units, mechanical and electrical equipment.

Whether it is a dust collector, emergency generators, solar systems or air handling units, we can design seismic anchorage for all types of equipment. We provide professional engineer signed and sealed shop drawings and structural schedules SB and SC.

We also design secondary structures to provide access or to support mechanical or electrical equipment. We have designed all kinds of support frames for water treatment plants, sewage plants, recycling plants to support various kinds of conveyors, machines and equipment.

Retaining Walls Structural Design

The design of retaining walls typically involves several engineering disciplines. These include civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, and structural engineering. GTech Engineering Corporation offers structural engineering services for conventional retaining walls such as reinforced concrete or concrete masonry units (CMU), with spread footings or pile foundations.

We also, provide structural design services for temporary supports to stabilize the excavations. This includes design of H-pile wales, rakers, struts, steel sheets, deadman footings etc.

Light-gauge Steel Structural Design

GTech Engineering Corporation specializing in structural engineering of cold-formed steel design (#steel stud design engineers). GTech Engineering Corporation’s experience with light gauge steel design includes a variety of residential and commercial structures. Our engineers are experienced in producing design drawings for light gauge steel projects. We provide light gauge steel design for new building construction as well as building renovations. We provide services for design of floor joists, roof trusses, metal deck diaphragm, partition steel stud walls, exterior steel stud walls, cold-formed steel facade framing, T-bar framing, suspended ceiling, bulkheads, cladding support girts, operable wall supports, etc.

We design light-gauge steel based on the latest North American specification for the design of cold-formed steel structural members : Canada (CSA S136-16), United States and Mexico (AISI S100-16).

Seismic Evaluation and Seismic Restraint Design

GTech Engineering Corporation provides Seismic Evaluation and Seismic Restraint Design for Architectural, Mechanical & Electrical Components.

We provide Seismic Risk Assessment for structural and non-structural building components. Non-structural components are mainly: Architectural operational and functional components, building services electrical, mechanical, plumbing and telecommunication components, and building contents.

We also, offer other seismic engineering and seismic upgrading services for additions, and upgrading of the existing buildings such as seismic strengthening/ upgrading/ remodeling of existing building e.g. un-reinforced masonry buildings.
